Worldwide Greeter is seeking a professional, dependable, and hospitality-driven Airport Concierge & Operations Coordinator to support premium airport Meet & Assist services at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) for corporate travelers, VIP guests, families, international passengers, and private aviation clientele. This role is responsible for providing personalized traveler assistance, operational coordination, and exceptional customer service within a fast-paced international airport environment.
The Airport Concierge & Operations Coordinator serves as an on-site representative of Worldwide Greeter and plays a key role in supporting airport arrivals, departures, connections, and traveler assistance services. Responsibilities include welcoming prearranged guests, coordinating Meet & Assist services, monitoring flights and operational updates, maintaining communication with dispatch teams and transportation providers, and assisting travelers throughout airport areas authorized for the assigned service. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, organized, discreet, and capable of handling time-sensitive situations while maintaining a polished and hospitality-focused approach. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to multitask efficiently within O’Hare's large, multi-terminal airport environment.
Key responsibilities include assisting travelers with airport navigation, terminal and concourse guidance, airline check-in direction, baggage claim coordination, lounge coordination when applicable, monitoring delays and gate or terminal changes, and maintaining smooth communication between travelers, airport services, Worldwide Greeter operations, and ground transportation teams.
Because O’Hare handles substantial domestic, international, and connecting passenger traffic, team members must be prepared to respond quickly to tight or missed connections, terminal changes, flight disruptions, baggage issues, and changes to transportation arrangements. Worldwide Greeter personnel must perform services in accordance with Chicago Department of Aviation requirements, TSA security requirements, airline procedures, CBP requirements for international arrivals, and applicable airport rules. Employees must remain within public-access or otherwise authorized areas unless the individual possesses the specific airport credentials and access privileges required for additional areas. O’Hare maintains credentialing requirements for access to Sterile, Secured and other controlled airport areas.
This position may require standing and walking for extended periods throughout airport terminals, flexible scheduling including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing airport operations and traveler needs.
Previous experience in hospitality, concierge services, airport operations, luxury services, transportation, customer service, airline services, hotels, or travel-related industries is preferred but not required.
